Ann Arbor Students for Kucinich

Here is a rundown of what went on last night...

1. We took care of residual MSA stuff.
2. We discussed upcoming events. They are as follows:

---Saturday, October 4th 7-9:30- Conference for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence at EMU's student union (flyer attached) --> This is going to be a FANTASTIC event and I encourage anyone to go who can. It is basically a pro-Kucinich rally and there will be some great speakers. Oh, and it's free! The coordinator of this event and I (and whoever else wants to) are also going to meet afterwards to discuss campus collaboration and local Kucinich support. If anyone is interested, definitely let me know--we will arrange some sort of carpool system. I encourage any and all to attend!

---Monday October 13th 2pm - Campaign Kick-Off! Dennis will officially announce his Campaign Kick-off in Detroit--we will have a carpool of as many supporters in Kucinich t-shirts, buttons, etc as possible. Please clear your schedules for this--it should be fun! And it's during fall break, so no classes to worry about!

---Friday October 17th 9:30-11:45am - Kucinich Rally in Dearborn Again, we'll be carpooling to this one--we need to show our support before his interview with the Arab American Institute.

---Sunday October 26th - Nationally-Televised Debate sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus and the national Democratic Party This will take place in Detroit at the Masonic Temple and we will have tickets provided to us through the campaign. Let me know asap if you want to go, so I can put in my request. We will figure out transportation for everyone to this as well.

Other than that, This Thursday at 7pm there is a Kucinich Meet-Up for Ann Arbor supporters at Ashley's on State. These are always fun and a great way to meet and keep in touch with fellow Kucinich supporters (who aren't necessarily students). At 8:30 that same night there is a College Dems meeting in the Union, and all are encouraged to attend that as well. Let me know if you need specifics about either of these meetings or any of the above events.

Ok, that's enough for now--thanks to those who came to the meeting last night!
